BRAVE Care Institute, Inc. was founded in 2020 in San Diego, CA to serve the mental health needs of diverse communities. We proudly serve residents in the states of California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada.

In Psychiatry, we offer diagnostic evaluation, medication management, psychiatric assessments, laboratory and other diagnostics, and coordination of medical care.

We are excited to offer Integrative Psychiatry for those who wish to try holistic alternatives to traditional psychiatry. This may be an appropriate treatment plan for people who have mild to moderate mental illness and have never tried a psychiatric medication. Some parents of young children prefer to try natural alternatives before pharmaceutical intervention. Likewise, some older adults or people with chronic disease prefer gentle intervention to ease quality of life. This is a very personal choice and we will educate you with all appropriate options so you may make an informed decision for you and your family.

For psychotherapy, we offer comprehensive psychoeducation about the language we use in psychiatry to describe the symptoms and impact of mental illness. in conjunction, we offer CBT, EFT, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma and grief counseling, and supportive therapy in an eclectic, Neo-Freudian style that is client-focused and trauma-informed. Important note: We offer psychotherapy only in conjunction with medication management. For children and adolescents, we recommend establishing care with a separate therapist for more intensive needs.

We serve people with moderate to severe but stable mental illness from all walks of life including children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. We offer treatment plans for anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and autism as well as mood, psychotic, and sleep disorders.

We are proud to specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, women, trauma survivors, healthcare workers, first responders, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and those with complex medical problems including pregnancy, obesity, and chronic disease.
